It’s 2017, and Donald Trump has proven that just about anyone can run for a government position and WIN, if they get enough people to back them up.
Well, it looks like Kid Rock is taking the back seat to the music industry to focus on a seat on the Senate floor – But is he serious?
He swears he is.
“It’s not a hoax, it’s a strategy and marketing 101!” he wrote on his website kidrockforsenate.com, which boasts slogans like, “Party to the People,” “I’ll Rock the Party,” and “You Never Met a Politician Quite Like Me,” playing off of lyrics to his songs.
And now, his latest Tweet has people really interested in his plans…

Kid Rock, also mentioned his would-be challenger, Stabenow, who has held her seat since 2001:
Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullsh*t!
Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are warning Americans not to take this new information lightly.
“I know a lot of people are thinking: this is some sort of joke, right?” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in an email to supporters, as reported by the Boston Herald. “Well, maybe this is all a joke — but we all thought Donald Trump was joking when he rode down the escalator at Trump Tower and announced his campaign, too,” she said.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer added,
“In the Trump era, we can’t afford to take this tweet as a joke.”
